Big Mama's Kimchi, honest buying review and ,Boiled pork belly ,Bossam Recipe
I and my husband are going to cook boiled pork which is called bossam in Korea to eat with Big Mama's Kimchi today.
We bought half cutting 800g of pork belly.
Place them over high heat in a pan with a little grapeseed oil.
This step can help you to lock up the gravy by baking only on the surface.
Add a tablespoon of soybean paste to four cups of water, then add the 1/3 bottle of soju.
Add four whole garlics.
and five bay leaves
Add two thumb-size balls of ginger. Remove the ginger peel by scratching it with a spoon.
Those hands are my husband's. Actually bossam recipe is my husband's.
So he is in charge.
He usually add pepper, but we are skipping it because hearing it will cause cancer when it's heated.
In a pressure cooker, simmer over high heat for 30 minutes and low heat for 10 minutes; let it cool down for 1 minute.
Now it's done~~^^ Cool it down after taking it out and cut it in slices.
If it's too thin, you may not cut well, and also may not feel the texture at all, so I recommend cutting it according to your standard, but not too thin.
Boiled in a pressure cooker,so you can feel the soft and tender texture with them.
Actually it's the very first time of Big Mama's official tasting . It's been well aged for a week in a fridge. It's so delicious now.
I think It's much better than the fresh kimchi. The harmony with bossam is really crazy.
It was so good that I couldn't even breathe but eat .As I told you it's so delicious a dozen times already.
It's incredibly soft and juicy boiled pork and moderately cooked kimchi. I didn't need any help with the vegetables I prepared. I used to enjoy meat with vegetables before.
Sparkling wine and soju were served together, this is so perfect and onion kimchi, made with Big Mama's kimchi sauce was aged deliciously, as well. so we enjoyed them together with the whole food.
However, I recommend this bossam is more delicious ,when you eat it wrapped by only kimchi.
